Town of Highlands Volunteer Ambulance Corps (THVAC) has been proudly serving the community since 1953 as a Basic Life Support provider. Our volunteer members come from all walks of life. We operate two fully equipped ambulances 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are defibrillator trained and equipped and we carry several life saving medications. Our members respond to over 500 calls a year within the Town of Highlands and provide mutual aid to neighboring communities. All of our members are highly trained individuals with a strong sense of community pride and dedication. We are an American Safety and Health Institute Training Center and we offer training to the community as well as our members.
We also provide additional services to the community such as medical support a high school sporting events and various town events, community CPR, blood pressure screenings, Girl Scout and school presentations and we proudly host the annual Fall Foliage Festival.
Town of Highlands Volunteer Ambulance Corps is always searching for dedicated individuals to volunteer. No previous experience is required. We provide training and schooling at no cost to our members.
